First, M&M Connection is different because, to our knowledge, we are the only Marriage Process that is connecting the marketplace to marriage in a way that we can see transformation right where we work and see our marriage and marketplace reclaimed.
Second, we are different because M&M Connection is attacking the disease head on, not the symptoms. What do I mean by that? The common cold and Pneumonia have similar symptoms. You experience, sneezing, coughing, runny nose, fever, etc with both. The difference is that you can only treat the symptoms of a cold since there is no known cure. On the other hand, if you just treat the symptoms of Pneumonia you could die. You need an antibiotic for Pneumonia.
Most marital issues, I believe, are simply symptoms of a greater disease. When we begin to believe that our marriage would be great if only our husband would (You fill in the blank) or if my wife would only (You fill in the blank), you become victims of the disease. Nothing we say or do will matter unless there is a change in your heart.
Third, we are different because we believe this does not have to be a long and drawn out process. The bible is clear about what we are to do in our marriage and the Holy Spirit is there to guide us. M&M Connection believes if we understand and apply the six core biblical principles, the majority of marriages will be transformed. That does not mean that all will be perfect. It means you are on solid ground and you will find it much easier to work through issues that come up in your marriage.
Lastly, once you see how unity is developed you will be able to achieve it in other groups.
Here is what we see needs to happen to destroy the disease.
First, the husband must understand his calling is to be like Christ and create an environment conducive to holiness in his home. He must give himself up for her.
Second, the wife must understand and become the true Revealer of the Enemy, as the helpmate.
Third, the couple must come into unity in all things.
Fourth, the couple must consider one another better than themselves.
Fifth, the couple must consider the interests of the other and help fulfill those interests.
